A Quick Life Update

Hey y’all, I’m back…yet again! As you may have noticed, I took a step back in the month of March and didn’t share any new content here on the blog and kept Instagram content to a bare minimum. I enjoy the blogging side of this SO much yet was having a love-hate relationship with Instagram on a personal level. I felt that I was draining my brain’s energy and my time getting lost in stories in which the content was not serving me or providing value. That is not to say it was bad content by any means, just not meant for me - and that is okay! It’s so important to not only be sharing content that gives you life but to consume only that which gives you life, too. So this is my little PSA to do a social detox…trust me, you’ll appreciate it!

So now that I’ve gotten all of that out, time for some more positive things! Here are some things I’ve been up to and loving lately…

  • LIKEtoKNOW.it - I don’t think I ever mentioned it before but you can easily shop my Instagram posts [and things I don’t always share on IG] in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. It’s free to download in the app store. Once downloaded, search for “thelifeshewanders” and give me a follow! I’ll be sharing more content on it - hopefully daily - now that I’m back in action.

  • “The steps you take don’t have to be big, they just need to take you in the right direction.” - this quote has been coming up a lot in a show I’ve been watching lately [Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - I never thought I would enjoy a show like this but my brother got me hooked on it when we were in the Outer Banks] and it has resonated with me more than ever. I like to remind myself of these powerful words each morning as jump-start to my day.

  • Jelly Beans - my weakness is forever Jelly Belly jelly beans and I’ve been on a serious kick lately. No shame in my game!

  • Blueberry-Almond Butter Smoothies - now that the weather has been getting warmer and feeling more spring like, my smoothie cravings are kicking in. I’m still hooked on my blueberry-almond butter smoothie and you can find the recipe here.

  • “The rest is still unwritten…” - any other The Hills fans out there?! I’m not sure where I recently saw this quote or heard it but it has been stuck in my head on repeat ever since. With all of life’s changes progressing it seems truly fitting and I’m embracing the unknown of what lies ahead.

  • Girl, Stop Apologizing - if you don’t know who Rachel Hollis is you are seriously missing out. I shared a recap of her book Girl, Wash Your Face on the blog before and it is a must read! Since I read that, I was anxiously waiting for her new book - Girl, Stop Apologizing - to get released. It came out in March and is another must-read!

  • Poshmark - I actually just added more items to my Poshmark closet yesterday so be sure to take a look, there are still a lot of great items left! And don’t be afraid to make an offer on something, prices are negotiable.
