My Recent Sephora Haul
You know my love for all things beauty and skincare runs deep so when Sephora offered an opportunity back in December to trade in Beauty Insider points for a discount in January, I immediately said YES! I opted for 15% off in exchange for 1,000 points which was the highest tier they were offering. Given that the next Beauty Insider Sale won’t be until spring, I took this as a perfect opportunity to stock up on a few essentials that I’m running low on.
With that said, here are the items I stocked up on during my recent Sephora haul.
BAREMINERALS MATTE LOOSE POWDER MINERAL FOUNDATION BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 15
I’ve been a BareMinerals user since college and still love their products just as much, if not more, now. I love that it’s a clean brand which is something that is very important to me. It’s extremely affordable and I know I’m going to get a top of the line product each time. I use shade Medium Beige for my foundation, but I also use the ?????????? shade as a bronzer/contour and find it’s extremely natural looking.
DRUNK ELEPHANT C-TANGO MULTIVITAMIN EYE CREAM
This eye cream is absolutely amazing! It helps improve fine lines and wrinkles, loss of firmness and elasticity, and dryness of the skin around your eyes. Even at the ripe young age of 30, I’m all for preventing wrinkles and any signs of aging! It’s a very lightweight formula and almost has a slight cooling effect when you apply it. If you’re looking to add an eye cream to your skincare routine, I definitely recommend this one - it’s well worth the price!
DRUNK ELEPHANT VIRGIN MARULA OIL
This is probably one of Drunk Elephant’s prized products. This luxurious facial oil is packed with critical antioxidants and omegas that balance, moisturize and nurture your skin all while restoring a youthful glow. It also contains high levels of polyphenols that deliver an antioxidant defense against pollution and free radicals. This facial oil also is sort of a super product and helps pull other Drunk Elephant products deep into the skin for maximum effectiveness. This is a bit higher price but it is so worth it and does last a long time!
DRUNK ELEPHANT BESTE NO. 9 JELLY CLEANSER
Y’all, this jelly cleanser is a game changer! I have tried various types of cleansers before and I always come back to this one. It’s extremely gentle and removes all makeup, dirt and grime from the day. It’s free of essential oils, SLS, and fragrance so it’s extremely gentle and perfect for any and all skin types. It’s an extremely great value too at just $32 and literally lasts 5-6 months!
SUMMER FRIDAYS JET LAG MASK
I had heard so many great things about Summer Fridays over the past year. I recently had a sample of this product and had extremely high hopes. I must say, it did not disappoint one bit!! I have extremely dry skin and sometimes get flaky patches [I know, gross] so finding something that was extremely hydrating has been top of mind recently. Now that I’m in Denver, this became more of a priority being in the dry mountain air. This stuff is seriously gold!!! It made my skin so incredibly soft, smooth, hydrated and had the most beautiful, refreshed glow. So it goes without saying that making this a part of my skincare routine was a must!
BONUS FREE GIFTS
As a Beauty Insider member, you receive points based on the amount you spend. You can redeem those points for samples of various beauty, skincare and hair care products which is a great perk! I decided to trade in 200 points for two samples of Biosannce Squalane + Omega Repair Cream. As I’ve said before, I have very dry skin that has only gotten more dry since being in Denver so I’m all for trying out any and all hydrating products to see what works best for me and my skin. I also picked up my Beauty Insider Birthday Gift [ahh, turning 31 in a couple of weeks!] and opted for the Briogeo gift set. It includes the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo and the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask. As with my skin, my hair has become more dry and brittle in the mountain air so adding in extra moisture and conditioning treatments will be key! I actually tried the Briogeo hair mask late last week and loved it so I’m excited to add these into my hair care routine.
