Life-Changing Dry Shampoo

I've tried countless dry shampoos throughout my twenty-something years and always struggled to find one that actually worked. From funky textures, greasier hair than before, white residue and terrible smells, I feel like I've seen it all. When my go-to skincare company - Franklin & Whitman - came out with their first line of clay/powder-based dry shampoos, I knew I had to try them. Given the success I've had with their skincare products, I knew this would be nothing short of a grand slam. I never thought I would say this about dry shampoo...but oh my gosh this stuff changed my life!! Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Frank+Whit dry shampoo!

I was first introduced to Franklin & Whitman almost a year ago through Instagram; @twist_of_lemons was hosting a sale and I thought to myself, "Hmm, my current skincare routine and products [or lack there of] is not really working, what's the worst that can happen?" Needless to say I fell in love with these all-natural, plant based, preservative and cruelty free products instantly; I've even turned a few friends and my mom onto them and they love them! The best part, 5% off their sales go to benefit local dog shelters in the Philadelphia area. I've become very close with founder and owner, Chris, over the past year and his wife, Lisa. I never thought Instagram and a skincare company could bring such kindhearted, generous, selfless, caring humans like Chris and Lisa, but I'm so glad it did.

I first tried Frank+Whit's dry shampoo over the summer and after the first use, I was hooked! The dry shampoo comes in a dark hair and light hair formula, something I have not seen done before. It also comes in two different scents: east falls [lemongrass, bergamot, clary sage] and spring garden [grapefruit, rosemary, eucalyptus]. If I had to pick, the east falls would be my go-to scent of choice; I love how light and refreshing it is.

Not only does the dry shampoo absorb the oils, but it almost feels like it cleans your hair and adds some much needed volume. It's super simple to use and comes in a shaker canister instead of an aerosol can like most dry shampoos.  I typically like to shake some into the palm of my hands and massage through the roots of my hair. If needed, I will sprinkle a little extra straight to the roots if I have any "problem" areas. There's no residue left - it truly blends right in! The natural scent gives your hair that just washed smell which is a huge bonus given that I can now go upwards of 3-5 days without washing my hair thanks to this amazing stuff!

So stop what you're doing and grab yourself these life-changing dry shampoos...I promise you will not regret it!
