My Spring Running Must-Haves
Running is one of those pastimes that I’ve truly always enjoyed. From playing outside as a kid, to playing soccer, running track and just loving the freedom of my feet hitting the pavement and letting my mind wander free. Whether it’s a comfortable 5k, HIIT sprints or a long distance run seeing how far my legs will take me, I get this rush and sense of calm from running that’s almost hard to put into words.
As you’ve seen from my IG Stories lately I’ve been doing a lot of running…and loving it! It has certainly been quite the adjustment getting used to running at altitude here in Denver and I now give so much credit to athletes that come here to train because it is no easy task!
I don’t know about you but I’m very particular about what I wear when I go running, from the sneakers to the type of shorts and everything in between…even my socks. I’ve been wearing Feetures socks for well over 5 years now and cannot see myself wearing anything else. I never knew I could love socks so much!
With that, I’m excited to be partnering with Feetures to share with you all of my spring running must-haves. So without further ado, let’s get to it!
ADIDAS ADIZERO BOSTON 8 SNEAKERS
I’ve shared these adidas sneakers with y’all several times now and can’t express how amazing they are! I own then in both black & white and a sky blue & orange combo. They also recently released a distressed version, too, that I might need to add to my collection! These fit my feet perfectly and are exactly the style of sneaker I like best. Not only are they great for running, but they work great for any workout style you’re doing too - a win-win! I would suggest long distance running in these but I find up to 6-6.5 miles these are great for. They run TTS and I wear a size 6.
FEETURES SOCKS
As I said at the beginning of the post, I have been wearing Feetures for more than 5 years and absolutely love them! I own close to 15 pairs and I’ve gotten nearly everyone in my family hooked on them, too. Feetures recently released their spring collection of socks and y’all, they are amazing! I love the color combinations so much - such beautiful pastels and shades of blue. The fabric is incredibly soft and they have socks designed for active, recovery & relief, and everyday life.
The active line is the main collection that I own in nearly all styles: high performance, elite and Merino. What I love about these socks is that they are specifically designed for each foot and are labeled with a small “R” or “L” for each foot. The targeted compression zones are a total game changer and provide amazing support and comfort. Feetures come in varying levels of cushion which help fit all of your needs based on the activity you are doing, or your preference in general. They are made of top-notch material and your feet will never get that gross, sweaty feeling like they get in traditional socks. Feetures stay put all day long through any activity or run you put them through, too.
A few of my favorites from their new spring collection include the high performance cushion no show tab in the beautiful lilac color, so perfect for spring! The mint and petal are also great for spring, too. I also really like the elite ultra light no show tab in the morning mist combo, which is what I’m wearing in all of these pictures. The cosmic sapphire, fierce magenta and purist blue are also perfect spring combinations. If you’re looking for more of an everyday sock, the no show hidden patchwork is a great option! I love the blue creek combo for spring.
UNDER ARMOUR RUNNING SHORTS
With running, I prefer a looser fitting short with the built-in brief and typically an elastic waistband. You’d think after years of running track I’d like the opposite but that is not the case! I’ve tried quite a few different styles but always seem to resort back to these running shorts. I find them to be extremely comfortable and lightweight which I love. They have the built-in brief, an elastic waistband and mesh panels on the sides. They have a 3” inseam which is not too short and not too long in my book. These are a newer version of the ones I’m wearing in these photos but I cannot recommend them enough! They run TTS and I wear an XS.
CROPPED SPORTS BRA
I don’t know about you but I tend to get really warm when I’m running so the less layers the better. Lately since increasing my running, I’ve found that I gravitate to the cropped sports bras in my never-ending collection most. The one I’m wearing in these photos is a couple of years old from Under Armour but they have some great similar options like this, this, this and this. I find they run TTS and I wear an XS.
1/2 ZIP FITTED PULLOVER
Spring mornings can sometimes still be a bit chilly so I like having the option of layers for my runs. This 1/2 zip cold gear fitted pullover is the one I grab most and love for early morning runs. The cold gear technology helps to keep me warm when starting off. As I start to warm up on my run, I like that I can easily unzip as needed or easily tie around my waist. It has the thumb holes at the end of the sleeves which to me is equally as important as pockets in a dress! Perfect for those extra cold mornings. This pullover runs TTS and I wear an XS.
So there you have it, my spring running must-haves! Are you a fan of Feetures socks like me? Have any running must-haves? If so, share below in the comments!
