January 2019 Recap

January 2019 Recap -- The Life She Wanders

Does anyone else feel like the month of January was the LONGEST month in existence?! It feels like it should be January 92834928th lol On the flip side it is nice to have things feeling a bit slowed down instead of flying by at the blink of an eye, especially after the holiday season.

I thought it would be fun to start a new series of monthly recaps to highlight everything that was covered on the blog and touch on some key things that happened throughout the month. It seems we typically wait until the end of the year to recap life so why not do little mini recaps each month to appreciate all of the little [and big] moments life has to offer! I encourage you to do the same, too!

I truly enjoy creating blog posts for y’all and appreciate all of your support more than you will ever know! I find this form of writing very creative, free-flowing and almost therapeutic in some instances. I want to continue to provide you with new and exciting content, giving your tips and tricks to wander through life with style and grace. With that, at any point feel free to comment or DM me with any content suggestions, questions, anything that you’d like to see covered on the blog. As much as I love coming up with content ideas, I also want to share insight on things that are of interest to you!

I took some time off during and after the holiday season to spend time with my family and just be more present and in the moment. It was exactly what I needed but it felt good to finally get back into the swing of things and start sharing content here. So ICYMI, here’s what was covered on the blog in January…

January 2019 Recap -- The Life She Wanders

From a life standpoint, I spent a lot of time the first few weeks of the month back home in upstate NY with my family and it was so, so nice! I’m actually heading back home the end of this week for another long stretch and I’m excited! It’ll be nice to just relax, watch the Super Bowl, enjoy some birthday celebrations [I TURN 30 SO SOON AHHHH]. So my Grandma’s birthday is on the 4th, one of my Aunt’s is on the 5th and mine is on the 6th so it’s like a birthday overload but it makes it so fun! Upstate NY isn’t exactly the Napa Valley trip we all had in mind but sometimes unexpected things happen that change your plans and that’s okay! And don’t worry, I’ve got a whole post about my thoughts on turning 30 coming so stay tuned for that.

Other than that, not too much to report on for the month of January. It was a long month but I feel a lot of self discovery continued to happen and I’m ready to start working on some things in my life that need improvement [more on this to come in my turning 30 post].

Here’s to the end of one month and another month that lies ahead! What was your favorite blog post shared in January? Any big highlights in your life that took place? Share below in the comments!
